Honesty truly is the best policy when building a strong and respected customer service foundation for any company.
“I’ve found that customers really respect our level of honesty. If we provide them with reliable and usable information on a product or delivery time — that avoids an awkward conversation down the road,” says ALTEX Customer Service Consultant Katie Slabinski. “By creating a trusted relationship from the get-go with our clients, they know that they can depend on us for dependable information and service now and in the future.”
At ALTEX, making sure a manufacturing partner is satisfied with not only the end product but also the sometimes complicated working process as well is priority number one.  An open and thorough dialogue with potential customers is something the company prides itself on. The customer service approach is the same for ALTEX clients whether it is a multi-layered custom manufactured product requiring many partnered steps in the production process, or the day-to-day ordering of individual parts and pieces.
“We treat each client with a sense of urgency,” shared Slabinski. “We know that by giving the customer our full attention and communicating the process reliably, our customers will feel our level of commitment to them. When we perform time-after-time, they begin to value us as a resource that can deliver on their promises.”

Technology today has changed the way many companies view their “customer service” standards. Many times email, even for ordering purposes, takes the place of a one-on-one conversation on the phone or in person. Over time, this can make it difficult to establish a true rapport with customers.
“We really focus on getting to know our customers and their needs. It takes a time investment, but it is so worth it,” Slabinski says. “Of course, we do communicate via email. But, I never hesitate to pick up the phone and call our client to get a better sense of what they need at that moment and to hopefully let them know the importance level of their business — no matter how small or large the account.”
The ALTEX philosophy is based on knowing that in dealing with companies at the top of their game that they will most certainly have the same high expectations of doing business with them. The catch phrase “under promise and over deliver” is quickly becoming a mantra of manufacturing businesses. Perhaps “promise what is realistic and always deliver” is closer to the ALTEX foundation.
