ALTEX is excited to announce it is now a member of the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG). As a leader in wire harness and cable assembly for the automotive industry, ALTEX works closely with industry leaders in order to stay ahead of the curve with lean manufacturing processes, quality standards, and the latest industry trends.
Founded by Ford, Chrysler and General Motors, AIAG provides a platform for key players in the automotive industry to collaborate on setting global standards and business best practices that streamline the automotive supply chain.
Automotive recalls hit 53.2 million last year, marking the third straight year that U.S. auto safety recalls have set a record by topping 50 million. At ALTEX, we understand there’s no room for complacency when it comes to quality, especially when product defects can put lives at risk. We use preventative quality assurance measures, such as crimp compression validation and poka-yoke fixturing, and continuously validate and optimize our tooling and processes.
In order to manufacture the highest quality products at ALTEX, we design our systems to be compliant with ISO 9001 and other key safety and manufacturing certifications. As a member of the Wiring Harness Manufacturers Association (WHMA), we also manufacture to the IPC/WHMA-A-620 standard, the only industry consensus standard for cable and wire harness fabrication and installation.
By joining AIAIG, we can continue to expand our automotive industry expertise and work with knowledgeable leaders to find collaborative solutions to the industry’s biggest pain points.
