Who is ALTEX?
ALTEX CEO Ben Weidberg answers some questions about the company:
What does ALTEX do? Quite simply, ALTEX is a custom manufacturer of cable and wire harness, box build and electromechanical assemblies. Our customers are Fortune 500 to privately held OEMs in various industries including security, power generation, refrigeration controls, automotive, agricultural, and general industrial equipment and controls.
Tell me about the history of ALTEX: We’re a privately held business founded in 1981. Over the years we’ve grown through organic growth and acquisition. We’ve been located in Westfield, Indiana, a northern suburb of Indianapolis, since 1993 and began operating a second manufacturing facility in Mexico in 1998.
What sets ALTEX apart from other manufacturing companies? Everything we do is customized to each client’s needs – from solution design to component sourcing, and from the manufacturing process itself to the logistics of getting the products where they need to be – all while saving our customers valuable time and internal resources. Based on Midwestern values, we’re dedicated to maintaining professionalism, respect and integrity in all aspects of our operations.
